Windows 8 Apps not connecting to Internet

Windows 8 apps are not connecting to internet but in Desktop mode its connecting. Anyone experiencing this problem? Please Help me in solving the problem

i have seen this problem in the mail client. reconfiguring gmail fixed it for me. have seen it happen in other apps too. i have given up. i guess reconfiguring is the only way out. mail client in windows 8 is pretty cool though. fetches mails from gmail faster than webmail and even my phone!

Check if you have set your network as a 'Metered connection' or disabled 'Sync' ?
