I recently took a BSNL wimax connection and upon searching all the areas I got only a particular place where the modem gives statistics of RSSI:-80 dBm and CINR: 16 dB.......well the problem is : we have a house having a ground floor and a first floor and no floors after that. Upon taking the modem to the 1st floor the signal strength turns out to be too low.We have around 6-7 laptops and all need to be connected. the plan we are having right now is 750 unlimited. So,1.Which would be the best router for us so that it's fair strength can be reached in the 1st floor too. Please let me know the company, the model and also the range that the router would cover. Different sites have different reviews about the same router, but still we dont want to let the money go in vain.On reasearch the few companies which I got was : D-Link, Cisco, Netgear, Belkin etc. Which would be the most optimum and would cover the range till just the first floor..?2.Until the router was to be decided, we tried to connect one laptop with the modem and then other laptops with the modem connected laptop. The conection between the laptops was through wireless network and the main laptop was connected to the modem with a lan cable. Though we enabled all the options and in the lan propertied we enabled sharing of the internet connection, but still even after all the other laptops get connected to the wireless network of the main laptop. still their connection shows : "No internet access". Please help to resolve this issue.(we have set all the ip addresses, dns, gateways etc to be obtained automatically)
