Wireless Repeater or a wired router as extender?

Hey Guys,
I am on a 300mbps excitel fiber connection connected with optilink onu 71000n and TP-Link c7 (a1750).
This connection sits on the first floor of my 1440 sqft house. Considering the WFH scenario, we are getting signal in 70% of floor.
So what would be best as per you all to get the speed with signal - a separate wired router or a wireless extender. I need speed as well with signals.

C6/A6 works fine with 300mbps. You might want to consider other models in the same segment. D-Link has a model. Mercusys as well. Not all are happy with the range of C6/A6.
