Wireless Router

A friend is looking for a wireless router with good range and performance. He plans to keep the router on the first floor. He needs coverage on the ground floor and roof. I think his house is what we call 350 gaj. I think he would be fine for something under 2.5-3K though cheaper would be nice. He is currently on Airtel but is considering shifting to Reliance to save money on my recommendation (he lives in my sector only).

IMHO TP-Link, and preferably any 300mbps model which has support for DD-WRT/Open-WRT

The only advantage offered by TP-Link is the gigabit lan and lower price.

Might want to check the specs for the out power of each.

My TP-Link 841 is on the exterior of the 2nd floor. And I get full coverage on floors 1 and 2 as well as partial coverage on the ground floor.
