Working in navi mumbai

Can any of you bombay-ites tell me what it is like to work/live in Navi mumbai?* What are the commute times, assuming you live in an area close to work* What are the rents in the area like.* Is the traffic as bad as in rest of Mumbai.* Is it a down-townish area or typical outskirts? Thanks

I am living in Navi Mumbai since last 10 years and its a very nice place . Traffic is much less compared to Mumbai and environment is better ( less pollution ) . Kharghar is nice place to stay . Vashi is a typical city and NOWHERE near word rural , Kharghar and C.B.D are nice residential places . All facilities are available as in main land mumbai, infact most people stay in navi mumbai and commute to mumbai everyday . Where are you going to work exactly ? I can get you more information if u let me know the area .

I am hoping to buy a 3BHK place in a completly developed small building or complex. I do not want brokers. The area could be Palm Beach Rd, CBD, Khargar. Can you guide me please?
