I know my pppoe (not WiFi) username but not the password. When I login in to my router's admin page I see my username as something like xxxx_dsl@airtelbroadband.in. When I tried to search the web to find a way to know my pppoe password I found this page >> click here

The tutorial says

Password: your account no which you used to login your router

So if my "account no" is my password my worry is anyone can call customer care & get & start using my vdsl connection.

Q) Does Airtel use MAC Binding so that only my router is capable of using my particular pppoe account ?
Q2) Does Airtel have a website which allows changing of pppoe password ?

If someone knows please reply.

Pretty sure that the customer care isn't allowed to just hand out the account numbers to anyone over the phone

Don't worry, they use serial no for ont authentication
This is not a fiber connection. This a copper (VDSL) connection. My router model is 777VR1

Okay but I wonder why Airtel doesn't allow changing of pppoe password. That would have solved all issues.
