would this devices be compatible with Bsnl Fibre

Thanks to this forum & members. The above combination ( modem & router) does work for Chennai Bsnl fibre. But the speed I get is less than 10Mbps both upload & download. Ping is 7ms & Jitter is 2ms. Tried with fast.com & Bsnl speed Test . kindly let me know how to get 50Mbps or at least 80 percent of that . should there be any change in setting. thanks. Maybe your router is negotiating the link to the ONT for only 10Mbps, there are a lot of variables here to answer why. When we say they’re incompatible, that doesn’t mean 1 or 0. It’s a spectrum, and there are a lot of issues that can stem from that. Anyways, call your LCO and let them know, and maybe they can check it with another router and see if the issue is there.

Thanks. is there anything I can try to check the reason and/or improve the speed as it is not even touching 10mbps both UP/DL.

If not already, try restarting the router, make sure the cable is snug in its port.

If your connection is new then you have to go to http://restore.bsnl.in and complete the steps to get your full connection speed.

Called LCO. informed. They asked me to switch off & on ( which I have done earlier ) . Now I'm getting about 50Mbps UP/DL. Thanks for the responses. Ping 7. Jitter7.
