Ok. Got my package just now. First impressions? Good purchase if you have a power bank! In fact, the packaging indicates that it is designed to be used with Xiaomi's own power banks. You can turn on/off the light using the button on the bank that is used to check the status of the battery charge.
Also. There is no mention on the packaging about this. My unit is either defective or the company has designed it to be ON/OFF on alternate connections to USB port. Second part is probably accurate. Since it does not have an off/on button, you can remove it and plug back in and it would be off. Remove and plug back in and it would turn on. At least that's what it looks like. Hard to say because no mention in the packaging.
The strip is not very flexible. You can bend it up and down just fine. It also turns in angle but overall flexibility is poor. Probably because of the short length.
I was planning to get four initially
Good thing I did not. I would probably put this one in the car for emergency use. It is a pretty solid product if you have a power bank because it can basically replace the need to have an emergency light. It is pretty fucking bright! I do not have a power bank these days so I am considering buying one just for this
