Letv staff has told that most of the issues including the heating issue has been fixed and a new update should start reaching users in batch.

I'll wait for this update and see how it goes.

These were the same problems experienced by Xiaomi in the beginning when they entered the market.

To lower the temperatures, they just throttled the processor so that it wouldn't get too hot

615 SD is the culprit if you are referring to Mi4i
The processor itself has some issues :/

Yup. mi4i. IIRC even Redmi 1S had teething problems. But now, xiaomi handsets are more or less stable.

Note 3 is pretty stable,I've been using it for about a month now..
Only thing is camera,but I'm not that much into clicking pics

nope, Out of 6-7 guys who tried today in my office, None of them got it.

Don't know what was the actual quantity available !!
