Someone tell me what they plan to do with 8mbps!

I use my broadband wirelessly not only on laptop but also on my iPad 3 and iPhone - Stream HD videos/movies. That said 2 MBPS is not sufficient since HD videos go in to buffering mode.

Logically speaking if I am paying 1200 INR for 2 MBPS/60GB, just by paying 50 bucks extra why shouldn't i grab an 8 MBPS plan if it is available - Thats the point!!

@Genie i assume you stay in Koramangala - HSR layout area. Even i stay in the same zone. Are you planning to follow up in the future for 8 MBPS feasibility in your area? Do keep us posted on the developments from your side on this thread. Me too wants 8 MBPS plan badly :(

Yeah I stay in that area. At the moment 4mbps is quite sufficient for me but I will keep trying for 8mbps.

I feel it's better value for money. By my very rudimentary calculations, Cost per Mbyte per Mbit for
My old plan 75GB (4mbit) = 6.74
Rapid 80 GB (8mbit) = 3.69
Rapid 175 GB (8mbit) = 2.09

One great advantage of higher speeds is you can share the connection with someone else in the family without interfering much with your browsing.

+1 and one more advantage i missed to mention - You can browse without slowing down your connection with parallel downloading multiple torrent files :P

Right now for me if i am downloading 3 - 4 movies via torrent at the same time, browsing becomes a shitty experience.

browsing is decent with torrents running at full speed on 4mbps :D works fine for me.
