This device Satellite Finder is available in satellite equipment shops or can be bought online too. It does not need batteries and powered by LNB voltage.

The Satellite beam is found by connecting this device in series with the set-top box and the dish lnb. As soon as a particular satellite beam is found, there is a small "beep" sound that grows stronger as the signal increases. The knob on the device is turned anti-clockwise and process repeated again.
After a few iterations, the signals are maximum and the dish can be tightened in that position and this device can be disconnected.

There are some more sites too like this one in North India Trackdish Shop - Buy Satellite Free to Air Receiver, Satellite Decoders, FTA Set-top Boxs, Dish, LNB, DTH Equipments etc that sells for Rs370. But I do not recommend paying online with lesser known site like this. Ask this guy if he is okay with Cash On Delivery.

On Friday night in chennai at around 10 PM i was in a restaurant having my dinner. The TV in the restaurant were having Airtel Connection...the signal was lost and it gained signal after 20 - 25 mins due to rain...At the same at my house the programs which were getting recorded at that point of time it got recorded with out any loss of pcitures...here i am not saying that TS is working well for me...infact now a days many times with TS loss of singal does happen to me very frequently when its raining but it regains the signal in with in 10 mins...Its the curse to every DTH operator on the signal during the rain...
