^^ ya they are basically hackers but they have a name which sounds like they own some public ltd corporation 
well... i've been waiting for this one since long 
but still this is the beta version, not working on all carriers & even if it unlocks, there is a problem of incoming/ outgoing calls.so still this is not to be taken as conclusive.the only good part about this version is that it is applicable to even the iPhones with the latest firmware 2.2 which people had thought previously that updating to the latest firmware would make the iPhone non-unlockable.in short all iphones can be unlocked using this software. so now only the problems with various carriers have to be resolved to get the final stable version.
