Yet another help-me-choose-a-phone.

Finally, I made up my mind to buy a new phone. Can you please guide me?

The budget is around Rs. 5000 (flexible).

All I need in this phone is,

1. I must be able to use OperaMini (and thus, GPRS or whatever it takes :evil: to get good internet).
2. It must have a good camera.
3. USB or some sort of PC-connectivity.

I dont care about other features,

1. I don't need any sort of mutimedia features.
2. No need of Bluetooth.

The main purpose of me buying a phone is to shoot some pictures when needed, and browse the Internet. Even calling and messaging is secondary. Therefore, a big screen is important.

Also please let me know if there is any unlimited internet plans from Airtel.


AND, is it worth to wait for sometime, are prices about to fall? Because, when we bought our current phone, it cost us Rs. 4600, but after a month the same model (Nokia 2600) was selling for Rs. 2600 :wall:! This was about 3.5 years back.

That dirty fellow, from who we bought our dear 2600 cheated us, we could have got it for much lower.

By lukin at ur needs i assume that u need a phone to be used just like a camera..i wud advice u to go for Nokia 6233.It will satisfy all ur needs.it has a 2 megapixel cam..the screen is 1.9 inch one.

and yes! u can use opera mini on EDGE network as Nokia 6233 has EDGE..

The only downside is tht this phone doesnt luk so cool..it costs 6.5k.But its worth if you go for this since it has 3G too.

Thanks for the reply.BTW, I don't bother about looks much. As long as it doesn't make people vomit.Have anybody used Spice S-909?

6233 doesnt look bad! it looks quite good infact.dont even think about waiting for price to fall and all that. no matter when you buy, its price is gonna fall like hell. so just buy whatever you can today, dont look at tomrrow's price.
