Direct-to-home services provider Dish TV today said it is targeting a revenue of Rs 1,000 crore in the current fiscal, as it will launch more channels to increase its customer base.

“We are looking at a revenue of Rs 1,000 crore in this fiscal…We closed the year (ended March 2009) at Rs 740 crore (unaudited),” Dish TV Chief Operating Officer Salil Kapoor told reporters.

The company expects to offer more than 400 channels by March 2010, he added.

Have you not heard, sun direct has already started HD services.

And yes ofcourse it will be for premium users who can afford to invest more than 10k for stb and other charges. Not for regular users who cry for paying 300 rs monthly.
