I do not find much value for individuals apart from recordings being cloud based.

The reasons I would consider using Zoom pro.

1. Polls - six question types
2. HD Recording
3. Amazing audio & video quality
4. Whiteboard is pretty good

Could you suggest an alternative that does all these things?

You can try Teams for sure.
You get all 4 options in that.

Yes, but for scenarios when we don't know if the audience has Teams or not, Zoom is better. Mostly everyone has it nowadays or is aware of how to use it.

True, for first time users Teams is a nightmare. But since you can connect with external users, the experience has improved.
