Free data for Hotstar should be irrelevant if they mean what they have been saying about bringing down data costs. If data is cheap enough people will use more of it specially if they get services like Hotstar Premium for free with their Jio stuff.
JioPlay data usage would most likely to completely free. Since it is a service offered by the telecom operator, it would be meeting the TRAI regulations. By making Hotstar a part of Jioplay, Reliance could bypass the regulation and make JioPlay even more lucrative for Jio subscribers.
Perhaps but then you would have to watch everything on your phone. Lame. The JioPlay app also used to let you watch the live TV on any ISP - I watched it over Airtel. They seem to have restricted it to just Jio now. Need to be on the Jio network.
mmm. no chromecast support? and as you said... one can watch it over the web on jio network. i assume eventually it would be available through the set top box they would sell for regular television content.
