Perhaps they haven't done it for you then for some reason, for me there is definitely MAC binding and I think many others have reported the same here. ONT you are using provided from bsnl or LCO? Is there any rent charging for ont on your bsnl bill?

My own ONT, bought it through the LCO. No additional ONT rent in the bill (I got only the first bill and in that there was some confusion regarding the annual rent and things )

I had applied for annual plan for 1277 plan. On BSNL website it shows 12770 as annual charges but when bill came they have charged full amount of 1277*12=15324 + taxes Is this how this offer works or they have charged the incorrect amount?

BSNL does have MAC binding. The guys over at BSNL needs to informed about your MAC ID if you do buy ONT separately.

They don't ask me about the ont details what I am using. I just applied bsnl ftth connection through there customer service center and within two days I got username, password vlan number and voice configuration details through whatsapp from my cable operator. I configured that details on my older ont and it works perfectly. Then I purchased another ont that supports telephone connection and its also works well.

@arunkadambanattu The first connected device automatically works. Are you using it in bridge mode by any chance, and the PPPOE auth is done on another device?

How do you access the ONT configuration in PPPoE mode? I am only able to access the router details.

@anand777 You mean in bridge mode? Or in PPPOE mode you probably connected the ONT to the WAN port of the other router. In that config you need to ensure the IP subnets don't overlap.

I told you already, I have 3 wifi routers and 2 ONTs and I tested with all of this and it works perfectly. In PPPoE mode username and password authentication works both routers and onts. [I tested with bridged mode and PPPoE mode]In bridged mode enable vlan on ont and credentials set on wifi router.

So they have disabled the Mac binding for you for some reason. Although I think the Mac binding is necessary as the default password is password And I'm having a hard time in changing that.
