My intuition says that they r going to announce something very disruptive plan for jio fiber users towards the end of this month.something like jio fiber new year offer ..After all they r jio.they r known for out of the box plans...

Again people can't give up false hope.
Nothing like that is going to happen. If they wanted to be disruptive, they wouldn't have announced such mediocre plans. They could have announced good plans on Sept 6th itself and gotten many customers by now.

Should I apply for the STB and then recharge or I can recharge now and then I can have the STB?

Please tell.
Recharge for 199 and check if it activates, if it doesn't then go for one of the commercial plans. Only then you get the STB.

yes they may disrupt... i am expecting a weekly (7days) gigabit plan for 599... so people can taste gig speeds... lol would never happen but would be nice though
Wouldn't make sense if there are customers who have already paid for higher end plans (monthly/annually etc) and changing it now would make the migration process even more messier. Maybe in a few months hopefully.

nah they misjudged the data cap for plans, rest of it are good actually... only after releasing their blunder they have introduced 199 short validity pack.
