How you guys get such detailed traceroutes? for me most of tme after few IPs : it is just this:

<NO> * * * Request timed out.

For me it is 16 ms, but cloudfare is very bad at 40 ms

You can try using the tool mtr

What is this static.ill thing?

I always get complete black 100% packet loss after it before it reaches google's servers?

Also my avg worst(=1) and best is 0 before all the static.ill stuff?(it doesn't sound reasonable is it?)

This tool has opened my eyes to BSNL's bad routing

I guess that's how the reverse DNS for those hops are setup. ILL in BSNL terms stand for Internet Leased Line.

The hops before the static.ill stuff would be devices on your network. The ONT or your wireless router etc depending on how it's setup.

If you share a traceroute will be able to confirm. Try MTR this time.

really leased line?, the day BSNl gives me 500 mbps leased line(ok 100 will be ok too) I am gonna book my tickets to every pilgrimage.

BTW what is with orange cables, I see many housed havee FTTH through orange cable which comes from box?(any quality difference)

Orange is armoured cable other than that no other difference.

Everyone except me got the armoured cable ;-;, but why they have black cables to the box and from the box comes the orange cables?

Not right now but I am the only guy who got the black cable attached , it's seems to bethe same cable that goes into the boxes , my LCO says that I have my own port on his OLT and no splitter(-4 dBm RX)( idon't know what it means,is it positive or negative?)

That line is shared with multiple numbers of users. A gigabit 1:1 leased line from BSNL costs around ~30Lakh₹ and 100Mbps leased line will cost you 8Lakh₹ with SLA. Sure, they will be happy to provide a leased line for you, but most of us can't afford it for home use

@abbyck As per some guy here bsnl officieal have 100 Gbps PE router attached totheir PC ;-;, why are leased lines so costly what adds to the cost of provinding 1:1 contention especially nowadays?
