Mi box s is hd only.
This box s with 4k. More of a us version sold at walmart.

Xiaomi never does that. That's Xiaomi's way of fooling us that they have already provided a discount. So don't expect any discount unless a competitor like Realme in case of smartphones, closely prices it's product.
I don't think there will be a discount during Diwali too. Don't know if their strategies change after Covid-19 scenario.

They introduced 4k 55" tv at 40k then increased it to 45k later. Though it definitely depends on competition at time.
