Grand Theft Auto Online issues

So i managed to snag a copy of Grand Theft Auto V during the Epic Games Sale and it has been an absolute nightmare to try and get online working on BSNL FTTH.
I'm using a VSOL HG323RGW ONT (Branded as Scopus) and running Firmware version 1.0.31-2004. I've configured Port forwarding as well as Set NAT Type to NAT 1.uPnP is also enabled and the ONT is showing up as Realtek IGD under network.
Any help into the matter will be highly appreciated.

@Nitin I've configured ONT to use 8.8.8.8 DNS and disabled all port forwarding rules. Online is seemingly more stable now with fewer disconnections. Hoping it stays the same. I'll report back after further testing. Also, are there any more updates for the router firmware?

Edit: After reconnecting to WiFi, it seems like I can longer connect to other sessions. Only when my port forwarding settings are enabled can I join populated sessions

Okay, after a few hours of running different configurations, here are the results:-

1. DNS Set to 8.8.8.8, Port Forwarding enabled, uPnP enabled :
   I can now connect to populated sessions, but the connection is very unstable and drops connection whenever people join my heist setup
2. DNS Set to 8.8.8.8 Port forwarding disabled, uPnP enabled :
   I cannot connect to any Public sessions. Using Find New Sessions lands me in empty lobbies. I cannot connect to my friend's sessions either.
3. DNS Set to 8.8.8.8, Port Forwarding Enabled, uPnP disabled :
   Same results as above.
4. Same set of Configurations but with DNS set to BSNL 61.x.x.x
   Same Results as when DNS is set to Google or Cloudflare.

I'd be more than happy to provide you with screenshots or logs. Any ideas guys?

@Taalojarvi Do you use another wireless router which is connected to the ONT? Just wanted to rule out possible issues due to one more layer of NAT.

Is the IP address displayed in the WAN status page for the internet profile same as your externally visible IP address? You could access https://IPv4.icanhazip.com to check.

@varkey Thank you for commenting. I haven't connected a separate router to the ONT. The IP address in the WAN status page is the same as the produced in the link you have shared.

Thanks, @Taalojarvi, I just wanted to rule out a case where some customers are assigned a private IP address.

Try selecting the DMZ option and point to your PC's IP address, and see if that makes a difference.
