what cost for device and wire do bsnl take charge from customers for ftth connection?

only ont and fiber they take charge from customers and what should be minimum installation fee for installing ftth connection.is the cost for setup diffrent from that given in their official site?

Hi, from me, they took 5000 for the installation, and an additional one month charge for the plan which I took(849).

5000 is too much bro why bsnl are so like that.even though they are government operator but what u tell cost at ur website it should be that only.

according to official site,they are charging 250 only plus ont modem at rent for rs 90 in jharkhand.all are fake for publicity.i have seen junction box outside but still i get a feel that tomorrow they will cost more than 1000 installation.

If your location is served directly by BSNL,, Most of the time they do it for free and there is no installation charges.. 500 is waived off..
But if its taken by a LCO they charge as per the distance from nearest connection. I paid Rs.6300 for a new connection at home.. While for Office I paid nothing at all.. First bill came with just security deposit amount of plan and monthly charge for that month.

@Shivam15 i enquired from bsnl office firayalal they told it's free of cost installation charge in my area but with regards to plan it begins from 749.i asked 499,599 or 699.they told they are providing with that plan dont know why?it is cost effective but why they have removed lower plans.i think it is not meant for those who have not much usage in ranchi.i mean what would I do with 300 GB too much.no use

I am also from Ranchi.. If they are not giving you the lesser plan.. its okay.. take the 749 plan for first month.. then from 2nd month onwards. Change it online via Selfcare portal. I did it that way.. very easy to do.

Ooou is it possible @Shivam15 ?to change plan online in bsnl?thanks will do that and also can I buy ont modems I called them too for whether can I buy my own ont modem instead of theirs they said its not available in market so have to rent from them

Also do they change plans after 2nd month via online?as they do all things offline even if I applied online for fiber uploaded all documents but still they told to give them kyc in hand

for me they charge 3200(modem price)+849(plan)=4049 rs.i applied 3-4 days ago and still waiting
