Jio provides 3 models:

There are 3 types of ONTs:
1. White Dual Band - JCO500 (Security deposit :₹4500)
2. Blue Dual Band - JCO4032 (Security deposit :₹2500)
3. Black Single Band - JCO110 (Security deposit:₹2500)
Blue dual band router is only provided to customers with Gold plan and above.

Jio provides 3 models:
I have the white dual band ONT JCO 500 (which had a higher security deposit of Rs 4500)... Just spoke to the Jio Fiber people, they said it is not compatible with the Mesh and they will have to change the ONT to Blue Dual Band one for installation of the Mesh... So I was a bit worried - Is it as good as the original white one? Any pros/cons when compared to the JCO500...

I have the same ONT and I would be interested in knowing that too. I thought the initial white one was the superior most ont. I was planning to get the mesh too.

The White model's been phased out but as far as I can tell there's no real difference. Although someone did tell me they got their White one replaced and the Blue one's slightly better in terms of speeds they get in the room farthest from it.

Also, I don't think Jio refunds 2000/- in case of replacement of the White model, so in case the connection is terminated people should remember to take back the full amount paid upfront.

So, does anyone know whether non-Jio mesh devices will work with JioFiber, or are we forced to use only their proprietary stuff which will be useless with any other ISP?

Here is the news article:

There are different mesh devices listed on Amazon/flipkart and as per some reviews ar compatible with Jio. Good mesh devices are in 10k+ range.

Not sure how many nodes will jio provide at Rs. 2500..

I want to take such device for duplex flat.

At Rs.2500 , they will provide only 1 device. That’s what the customer care told me.
