Why is there no NDTV on Jio Fibre TV?

Very well put! That is the basic problem. Why does Jio get to decide which channels we can watch? The choice should be best, left to us, the customers... It is like you become their customer - and they begin to take control of our lives.... They may aspire to be a 5g company - but their thought process is of a 1g company....By that logic, jio should close all its ott/apps, tell its subscribers to watch their shows on their respective subscription website or YouTube for that matter.
Either you give everything in the bouquet and let customers decide what they want to watch, or you remove everything what you offer. You cannot decide what a customer should and should not watch. He is smart enough for that.

People are presenting their point of view for and against - which I think is what this forum is all about.
If you cannot understand the discussion, or add any value to this discussion - please stay out instead of moral policiing and asking everyone to shut up. I wonder if posting in Hindi is allowed in this forum.... I will let the mods chime in on this...

it does not? Jio isnt deciding anything in this case, you are free to get a DTH connection and JioFiber never advertised itself as a DTH provider in the first place, i dont know why people are expecting access to everything.
Asking for access to NDTV is not expecting access to everything.
No one is saying jiofiber is a replacement for DTH provider. It never can be.
What is being questioned is, why some well known and established channels are not there on the list. And some unheard of channels are
there on the list?
And yes, Jio is deciding a number of things for us. Has anyone noticed when you log into Jio tv plus and click on live tv channels, see which channels show up on the screen ?- India tv, ABP, Republic, etc... Rings a bell?
I never watch these channels so how come they show up first on the list?
The channels that I watch normally is relegated way down the list.... So i may not watch India tv, ABP etc at all, but every time I have to watch a channel i like, i have to scroll through these channels... These channels are in your face all the time.
Usually with other alternatives, you have a choice to configure what channels you like to see when you first log in. In Jio fiber case, you may pay for the box, you may pay for connection, but Jio decides the channel sequence listing....
