It can be a worthy consideration only if it puts its privacy policy details in the public domain.
The more transparent it's modus operandi, the more chances of it being accepted.

Very difficult to imagine that in our environment. Some will demand that they can never be blocked or banned.

Read on net that Telegram does not have e2e by default on normal chats. Can anyone please clarify??

That's correct. Only Secret Chats are e2e encrypted.
