While your solution is currently the best to opt for, But for how long should a person not update his windows? It can't be for eternity.

You are wrong. 20H2 is stable as well. And to disable windows updates you don't need to make any registry, services or wifi changes. Just one gpedit is fine.

You can run this utility I found on github that can disable updates for Windows 10 as long
as you need. Have had success on a few older PC's that are on older builds.

It can allow you to pause feature updates beyond the recommended 365 days. Do check it out.
The old build will still update but new feature updates can be paused.

My TP-Link bluetooth adapter has stopped working, and after testing it in three different devices I felt that the device is faulty.

I sent the adapter to the service center in Nehru Place, and the guy checked it in his WINDOWS 7 computer, and guess what? It works.

So basically some Windows update has made this adapter useless for all my computers.

What to do?

There are 2 problems here. Newer devices won't have drivers for older OSes and older devices are not supported on the newer OSes. Device manufacturers practically can't give continuous support for older OSes & older devices

a routine update of windows 10 shouldn't break support for a piece of hardware that was supported before the update.
if this was windows 11, it would have been understandable.
even if he decides to buy a new bluetooth adapter that lists as windows 10 compatible, he has no guarantee that it would work on the updated windows that borked his older bluetooth adapter.
plus it's not like there are newer bluetooth dongles coming out on a regular basis. local stores are likely to have the same shit that was selling 5 years ago.
