I currently face just one issue with the Jio landline. @NoviceUser404 and @socrates could you please check if you experience the same? Try the below steps:

1. Call jio landline from your mobile.
2. Pick up the call on jio landline.
3. Wait for 5-10 seconds and cut the call from jio landline (press off on the landline cordless).

Immediately, the cordless starts ringing again with no caller ID or anything. I have to press the talk button and off button to silence it. Please let me know if you face this issue.

@ap99 — I've tried all the steps you mentioned, and I haven't experienced it on my Panasonic KX-TG3611SX cordless phone.

In my case, right after I hang up the call on the cordless phone: 1) On my mobile, the call immediately disconnects, and 2) on the cordless phone, it immediately goes to the home screen. It doesn't start ringing again.

Thanks @NoviceUser404 and @socrates . It seems to be an issue with me then. I tried with 2 different cordless phones. But same issue on both.

(This happens only when the call was an incoming call. Not for an outgoing one from the landline)

I will try raising a complaint with the JioFiber customer care. Thanks again.

Before connecting my Panasonic instrument to Jio's router, I tried calling my Landline number from mobile. I was hoping to listen phone is Off or out of coverage message.
But instead I was get call ringing tone. Anybody noticed it?
It will mislead caller that call is ringing but nobody is picking up phone, while actually phone is disconnected.

That happens because the router does not care (or understand) whether you have connected a device to it or not. As long as the router is turned on, your landline is active. If you turn off the router and try calling your landline, you will hear a message that the number is not available or something.

This again is a normal behavior with landlines. Same happens for MTNL as well. If I disconnect the cordless from the MTNL wall socket, the person calling me still hears a call ringing tone. Because just by removing my Panasonic device from the socket does not turn off my MTNL number.

Hijacking an old thread.

I had sold my Panasonic landline phone back in 2022, because of low earpiece volume. In that phone, whenever a call used to come, it used to be prefixed with "0091xxxxxxx" and dialing back had no issues.

Recently, bought a Beetel M71N and noticed that whenever any call comes, it shows "091xxxxxx" prefix instead of "0091xxxxxxx," and hence when you call it back from the call history, it says, "The dialed number is invalid." And the only way to resolve it is to add another 0 as prefix again, that is, to make it become "0091xxxxxxx" and only then the call goes through. So, had to return it.

Then got the Beetel M25 phone, which I really liked. However, it suffered from the same issue—redialing was a pain. And you couldn't even edit a number from the call history before dialing.

Is it a phone-specific issue or some recent firmware upgrade of Jio ruined it for the Caller ID service? Also, any specific model recommendations with which I won't experience this issue?
