Planning to switch to Reliance Mumbai broadband, am I taking the right decision?

Reliance Mumbai Rs.1099 for 4 Mbps no-FUP. Is Reliance worth it?

Combo Plans - MTNL Mumbai

I'm using the Rs.699 plan currently. I have no idea why. MTNL Mumbai is complete shit, constantly stops working. And there's this weird thing that happens. My modem displays only two lights sometimes, the power and the LAN. As soon as I call their helpline 1504, before anyone picks up, the internet starts working, like magic. This is the current "hack" I've been using since months.

Dad is so stuck on to it. Most of his work requires him to have a good constant access to internet, but he just won't switch. After convincing him so much, he's finally agreed, but has given me the responsibility of finding a new decent plan/ISP.

MTNL is way too expensive. Unlimited Plans - MTNL Mumbai 2 Mbps truly unlimited no-FUP is 5000 bucks a month. What the..

I find Reliance's plan really attractive. Welcome to Reliance Communications 1099 bucks per month for 4 Mbps no FUP. Reliance store is right around the corner too, so I can go wreck havoc over there if something goes wrong :P

I've heard that they fiddle around with connections though, and are pretty unreliable too.

Also, they have this Bridge thing apparently? -D1- comments on It's 2014. Is there no decent ISP in India that actually provides a good internet service without FUP and doesn't cost a fortune? I wouldn't like logging into some Reliance portal every 24 hours. Might as well stick to MTNL.

Any of you guys using this plan? How's your experience with Reliance like?

Right. So begin by posting line stats.

Unless you're looking to get something from your cable guy, mtnl is by far the best in Mumbai.

The thing is I want to go for a faster connection. MTNL plans are way too expensive, and their customer support is a joke. I found Reliance to be a nice option, I was just asking the community, if there are any using Reliance, how their experience is and if the stuff said about them is true.

Other ISP's come with heavy FUP, something I strictly detest. 100 Mbps till 10 GB then 512 Kbps. I got 9 devices in the family connected, our internet usage goes pretty high. In fact my content consumption would increase with faster internet.

Please read the reliance thread in this forum before you take your decision .. Also I am not very fond of you broadband but they are hands down better than reliance in terms of downtime and customer support .. So you can check on them also if you wish too ..

You Broadband has FUP, and their limits are too low. It's pathetic. I'd rather drink my piss than take a plan with FUP from now.

EDIT: I don't meant to sound rude to you, I'm just incredibly pissed with the shit options out ISP's provide. I just want to pack my bags and get the hell out of here and go to Kansas City for Google Fiber.
