Yes. Using it right now. Battery is same 2900mAh one as in
A7000, not 3000mAh as told in some web sites.
Can't find any difference physically even when kept side by side. Weight difference is there, but still not much.
Camera is as usual NOT good. Even the lens, flash looks identical externally. Battery life is as usual good. Capacitive key backlight as usual absent. But 16 GB storage gives more breathing room. It as usual supports 64 GB card.
In short, after initial tweaking, even my family members can't find that I am using a new phone.
Root method is available. Will try it tomorrow.
Wrt performance, there is rare and occasional stutter in ui, just like in
OnePlus one CM12S, which was actually totally absent in A7000. May be pushing more pixels by same GPU is the culprit here, I guess. But still getting opo performance under 10k is good. If you have not used A7000 before, you can't find this complaint, IMHO.
1080p display is very very good, but not much difference for me, due to my not so perfect eyes. Even then, the tiny font and letters during browsing are very
sharp and perfectly readable here, which is a huge plus. Brightness is more than A7000, I guess.
Free RAM is slightly less than A7000 after disabling useless dozen apps [upto 850 MB Free comparing 1040 MB after restart in A7000]. Again the more pixels uses slightly more RAM I guess. But there is no problem in multitasking, as even 800+ MB Free RAM is surplus. For comparison MI3 has 650+ MB Free RAM after reboot and still has no issue in multitasking.
If given a chance, I will go with A7000 with 16 GB internal storage [if available] than K3 Note. But hey, for the price difference of just 1000 Rs, even the 16 GB storage is more than worth and 1080p display is an extra big bonus for SURE.
Forgot to mention that now BOTH SIM SLOTS SUPPORT 3G AND 4G... This is another big improvement from A7000, IMHO. When any one SIM is selected for data connection, the other SIM changes to 2G mode automatically, for better coverage and battery life.
So for the price it's as usual too good to be true. Go for it, if you find 8GB storage in A7000 is not enough or if you want 1080p display. Now I am going to sell my A7000.
Hope this helps. Ask me, if anyone wants more clarification. Touch response is awesome. Even this big post is typed using my k3 note.
