What happens if we do not recharge a Reliance Jio Fiber connection for a while?

It is a prepaid connection. They don't care if you recharge or not. They do call you a few times in the beginning asking to recharge when you're a new customer.

If we don't recharge our mobile prepaid connection, we lose the number after some time. So just because it's a prepaid net connection, does that mean one can stay without recharging indefinitely? I mean, do we own the STB, router etc. (that can be used only with Jio)? If not, then he has their equipment and beyond a point if he's no longer interested they'll want it back surely?

I highly doubt they won't care if you don't do a recharge for a certain period. As even the DOCSIS based LCOs warn you that if you don't do a recharge for over three months they will take the cable and equipments off of your house on the ground of inactivity. Too early to confirm anythng for Jio though.

All very good questions - Answers to which we don't know yet. Doubt if Jio knows them either...
What smart customers do is since this is a prepaid connection, they have a second fiber connection at home - say Airtel. They now use Jio as a back up connection... They make sure they recharge the Jio connection once every few months, so their account remains active...
