I don't think you answered my question or you don't want to? I was not being sarcastic.Android gives you freedom, you decide what you want to do with it, risk your security or play with it.Obviously, people who are into serious business and no play, are gonna go with Blackberry, similarly Wp7 has it's separate audience.and they don't bother discussing it on forums too, lol

About yor question .. wanted to go for smart phone n option were Apple wp7 n androidAbout apple .. I dont like restriction like bluetooth n others. Latest version of same is not available in market .. So why to go for outdated product.. N its costly n not value for money .. Will go for ipad touch some day to get exp of iOsNext option wp7.. Not much option available .. N those are available are high end mobile .. No option for budged segment .. But they will come up with such version soon .. Other problem is of less app .. So android left.. There are plenty of option available .. From low lvl to high lvl n has sufficient no of apps .. So gone for it If wp come up with some good budgeted model will love to try that also ..Knowing that there will be some bigs in that too

How many app you installed which are out side android market? I hardly feel any of them.. so to be practical no one prefer outside official app so why to blame them .. They may have less app but all of them will be safe . N not all user can predict how some app behave in background

i install apps from outside the app store all the time. i get access to private betas. i get access to apps directly through developers that are not officially available in india through the google app store. the process is simple and it works. and since i know what i am doing, i really do not get affected by the malware.

this is the same policy i apply on my windows machine. i do run an antivirus all the time but i rarely see it go nuts over some virus laden file that it finds on my machine. in fact, mac users currently are suffering from the fake antivirus malware problem. most of the affected folks thought that the fake antivirus was a real app that was being offered to them by Apple. and they end up with malware on their machine. so much for mac being a safe and secure platform. the problem is common everywhere. if you know what you are doing, you are going to be safe enough.

if i start believing in what you are saying... windows os and mac os x should switch to the same philosophy. lock the machines so that the only way to install apps is through an authorized app store.
