Does anyone know if the Prime membership will be tied to the active JioFiber plan? What I mean is, can Bronze/Silver plan users switch to Gold for 1 month and then switch back while retaining Prime for the whole year?
Amazon Prime Offer for JioFiber Subscriber - Terms & Conditions
www.jio.com
Offer Cancellation and Renewal
This Offer provides Customer with 12 months of Amazon Prime Membership at no additional cost. During these 12 months, if a Customer unsubscribes or downgrades to ineligible JioFiber plan, the Offer will end with immediate effect. In this case the Customer will not be charged anything.
If a Customer wishes to continue and not unsubscribe, the Customer will be charged renewal fee at prevailing market rate of Amazon Prime Annual membership.
Just redeemed it on the quarterly gold plan. Seems like the banner is bugged out on the app. Appears empty, when clicked it takes you to a jio branded Amazon login page and once you log in, you get the membership activated

Thanks for the info. In that case for Bronze/Silver users who aren't interested in costlier plans it's obviously far cheaper simply to pay for Prime than move to Gold or higher for an entire year.
Yes. I deactivated jio fiber. When the service guy entered my details in his mobile for deactivation and refund, prime membership was cancelled immediately.
I lost my Prime 1 Year free membership because of this.
As stated they should offer 1 year free no matter what plan we subscribe to. First I was on the 'Gold' plan before then downgraded it to the 100Mbps combo plan as 'Data' was such a huge pain in the ass back then with their old plans.
And yes they did deactivate it immediately. Now when I call the cc up they tell me that it was just an one-time offer and was deactivated due to the downgrade of the plan.
Still does not make sense as it was clearly meantioned no matter what I would be getting that 1 Year Subscription. Even TOS does not have this listed. It is completely unfair.
But it was only an one-time offer, Hence I did not bother much about it.
