That info is wrong. It is Mbps there too.

^You are right...i opened my mouth too soon...

but from what experienced, it felt more like MB and not Mb...but that is probably because when they say 8 Mb, that is the minimum speed that you get.....have downloaded stuff at 1MBs in NY...

But what the heck, we need better speeds in India....

I dont know whats the problem with BSNL offering high speeds at reasonable rates.They even have the infrastructure to do so.I can say so because in my Modem status I see the Attainable rate fluctuating around 21000-25000Kbps.

Oh wow...Thats great. I would rather say that the Kolkata BSNL users have been quite lucky when it came to Broadband. At present, I am enjoying the UL 750 at Rs.500 per month under a special promo scheme which was available only in Kolkata. Now this news of 16 Mbps makes me love BSNL even more..! :dance::thumb:
