How to do Port Forwarding in Hathway (Docsis 3.0)?

I had the Technicolour modem and normal port forwarding was not working. However, if you give your computer a static ip and then put that ip in the router DMZ then all ports will be forwarded to that computer.

I do not have the modem to show you how to do this anymore but you should be able to find it on Google I think.
 
port forwarding works with the Technicolour . i am on hathway and have successfully port forwarded for ftp, transmission and http access
 
@crazydon How to do that? I mean do we need static ip for that?

I think Hathway is on DUAL NAT right?

I want to port-forward Plex.

I WANT TO PORT FORWARD ON EXTERNAL IP (Public IP)

@ajgamer For your use case, I would suggest ZeroTier and once you have that setup, you'd forget why you even need to port-forward.

 
@varkey Actually, Plex is an example I'm giving to make the question simple. I don't want to use Plex. I want to do something else.

So if Hathway can do the port-forwarding. It's awesome.
