Interestingly, the look of Rajnikanth is more like the villainous robot look of Enthiran and not when the robot is a positive character
 
I think that's only for the purpose of this first look poster. The shooting started last December. These were supposed to have been released back then but due to the hardships people in Chennai were facing during the December floods, the crew decided to postpone the launch of these posters. I've seen a couple of shooting spot stills and videos where Rajini is in the non-evil Chitti character as well as the scientist character.
