No, it depends upon the server u r connecting to...
try 2 download from u torrent gives best speeds possible!! :)
 
that depends on local infrastructure in Assam and neighbouring states. Its the govt. to blamed...not only bsnl./hey i am from assam but am getting that old same speed 60 kbps
 
but according to the plan you are supposed to get only 6o kbps ie 512 kbps bandwidth then how come is it possible to get 200+ ? jus check ur plan ! you must having limited usage plan and will be shocked to see the bill afterwards

I know a BSNL Engineer personally. i got this info from him. i have read the official letter signed by GM of my circle
 
what is this broadband monsoon offer.i have not heard anything of that kind.i get speeds of 60 kb.also nothing is said in the bsnl website
 
This offer is limited to new customers. old customers will also be benefited in those areas only where exchanges have some free capacity. in other areas where exchange's ports are exhausted, old customers will not get increased speed. only new customers will be benefited nationwide.
