20p/min STD! Possible?

I dont think it wud be possible. Prices may come down, say 50p local and 1Re STD (regular tariff) but not to 10p or 20p

I dont see it happening soon, maybe after 3 or 4 years its possible now, but am sure that someone will come up wid 50 paise STD this yr or so, coz TATA has already launched it in their postpaid and now its High time that other players do something abt it.....40 or 50 paise per min to National STD is a good deal, maybe some Bonus card or something which will enable us to call STD's at cheap price.1 Rupee per min STD is now very common

at 20p/min, ppl will talk like anything. today rates are like say 2Re per min, so ppl now wud talk atleast 10min as their expense wud remain same. we already get line busy error once in a while and during bomb blast i was not able to contact any1 for 30min to 2hrs.do they have that much capacity if ppl start talking so much on phone?

MTNL does give unlimited calls to any MTNL local network for 399Rs on garuda.
