5.1 Channel Surround sound output on sun direct dth

Has anyone tried the 5.1 surround sound option available in the STB, if yes how is the sound quality, and is the surround option working when connected to a 5.1 speaker and woofer. Please do reply.

As per my knowledge they haven't startet selling the box in market. Did you manage to get one?

Thanks for your replies. . . I thought we can connect a 5.1 speaker with the help of the SPDIF pin. . i got clarified with that point, tat it cant be used to get surround effect until they launch it with such specifications. .

you can connect with SPDIF pin no channel in india is providing 5.1 surround sound

5.1 is available only in Sundirect HD.
