Volte and vowifi will work regardless of 4g Or 5g.
3 g was circuit based voice calling so completely different.

airtel/vi will launch volte + 5g (initially) ... maybe jio will launch stand alone vonr ...

If I say about jio then it's possible that they'll bring VONR without relying on VOLTE nationwide. I mean wherever they provide 5G they will have VONR enabled by default. Vi & Airtel might take time.

If there's one company that can launch VONR on day 1 it's Jio. They reputedly have the most modern Samsung network gear in the industry and this came from an ex colleague who worked there in the past.

I am using Jio in Mumbai and according to Okla speedtest app’s map, I am already in an area which has Jio 5G enabled. Cannot wait to test it out on rumoured launch date 15th August aazadi 5G ka amrit mahotsaav
