A few questions regarding WiFi connection

I have 1 desktop and I connect to internet using a wired ADSL Modem.I would like to use this connection on my mobile phones via WiFi now. As far as I understand there are 2 options:1. Buy a WiFi adapter [usb/card] and use a software like Virtual Router Manager.2. Buy a WiFi router.Can you please elaborate on which option would be better (or if any other option would be better) and what each option would cost?

You really have only one option - buy a wireless router.As for the price, look around on this very forum. This question has been asked many, many times here.Option 1, I believe, requires your computer to be on if you want to browse over wifi. It's not worth it.
