Sony has just started releasing the ICS update for their Xperia series. It would take a couple of weeks/months to get it on all the planned models.

Sony has promised updates & updates are rolling out for Neo V.. I guess, you will just need to wait a couple of months.

@Shouvik I bought Sony Ericcson Live with Walkman yesterday. Its really an awesome phone. The touch is very responsive. Everything is great. 5MP cam with HD recording, 3D recording, well built. It bought it for 14.5K from Delhi. I suggest you to go for it.

P.S - Althought its box says that the phone is Android 4.0 upgradable, in the software update it still says that there is no upgrade available(Android 2.3.4). Can anyone please help?

Mukul judging a phone just in 1 day is not enough. I bought an LG Dynamite phone and after 1 week figured that the phone gets hung as soon as u turn on the FM Radio.

and you are judging Sony phones based on hearsay? sony does not ship their phones with bad battery backup intentionally. battery life depends upon the capacity of the battery, device itself and of course software optimization. how much backup you get would depend upon how heavily you abuse the device. sony has no special problems with battery life on their devices.

Absolutely correct. I have used SE phones before also and they had pretty good battery backup. No problems at all.

@Shouvik I just suggested you. Its your decision IF you wanna go for it or not. I'm not facing any problems till now and I've also read good reviews on every site. Check out youtube if you wanna...

ok tell me this,

what does "Internal memory: 512 MB ROM, 512 MB RAM (418 MB user-available)" mean? I mean is it a very low configuration? Not to be considered at all?

512MB RAM is standard in this range. As for ROM, I am assuming that you would need a storage card. Some phones ship with memory cards. Overall, they are fine for this segment of the market.

user gets 418 MB on the phone to install apps. a media card would be required to store music and other files. my nexus s had around 800MB for apps and stuff. though it came with 16GB storage out of which around 12-13GB was available.
