Aadhaar required for getting LPG cash subsidy?

Looks like they have started asking for Aadhaar eKYC for LPG subsidy even if your aadhar number is linked. Apparently the government is going to restart the subsidy (just in time for elections) but only after getting your facial or biometric scan. The LPG delivery guy couldn't do it. I realised later that it was due to the biometric lock on the account.

Did anyone else experience this? I googled, and it says the due date for getting eKYC done is 31 Dec.
 
You mean biometric once or every time? Our LPG is in mom's name. So, I don't know how easy it will be considering her age if she has to do it every time.
 
I was not able to book cylinder refill from HP last month. I though its KYC issue or income declaration. But later my agency informed that Stove verification is not done :oops::LOL:
They scheduled Technician visit. He checked Stove, did some minor servicing and updated something on his phone app. After that he said now I can book cylinder. I was able to book cylinder next day.
But I had to declare my income was above 10L :D
 
They do it for every ration delivery now I think. Though can't annoy the middle class.
 
Stove check for every cylinder booking?
Technician informed me they need to do this checks in every 2 or 3 years (for customer's safety :D)
