While booking cylinder from Hellobpcl app it prompted for eKYC.

It gave a link to install this app that does the authentication part.

Once installed you need to go back to Hellobpcl app and follow onscreen instructions. It will tell you on how to hold the phone and will also tell you to blink.

Managed to get dad to do it successfully.
