More to with demand. Hardly any ACT subscribers in Delhi . Airtel & Excitel Fiber everywhere.
While ACT is a well known brand name in Bangalore/Hyderabad.
Righto. They're just trying to grab!!

They are not following the uniform pricing strategy unlike Jio/Airtel!

Should give 6TB 1Gbps plan for 3,999 instead of 5,999 when compared to the pricing of Chennai and Delhi.

ACT FIBERNET IS CREATING RIFT BETWEEN INDIANS.

ACT has always been providing FTTN in many cities, including Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Coimbatore and Vishakapatnam.

Only a few cities like Lucknow, Jaipur are FTTH, including mine(Madurai). I think they gave FTTH where the customer base was relatively less initially.

FTTN is also quite good. Not a big difference in latencies. Sometimes upto 5ms max. Usually around <2ms.

I spoke to ACT customer care today. This is not ftth connection but fttn( dedicated box outside home) and then delivery on rj 45 to home. Further no router will be provided with this plan.
Looks like CAT 5E normal setup. How are they even achieving 1Gbit/s on it?

They should have offered FTTH and joined the game with free landline.

ACT offers fttn and ftth both option in Delhi. Depending on deposit you pay on installation.
Don't believe on what cc says completely.

Ironically, my FTTH connection has worse latency. ACT doesn't have a datacenter in Madurai so they use ridiculous routes that take over 25ms(which is about 15ms more than what i got on other providers) to connect to Chennai. The distance being about 400km.
