If anyone needs his/her internet service to be dependable, I would highly recommend not using ACT.
I have had ACT for a little more than a year now. Here are my observations:
(1) It takes up to a month to get the connection
(2) Even once you get the connection, downtimes are not rare. The issue really is that once your internet is down - it will be down for at least 2-3 weeks (and this is after repeated calls to their customer service, nodal officer, e-mails to CXOs etc)
(3) They tend to switch off internet late at night / early mornings. You can't even reach customer service during these hours, and internet gets back magically by morning.
Overall, in the last 1 year, I have had close to 2 months of downtime. That's almost 20% of the time. Every single issue involves making multiple calls to their customer service (they never call back), nodal officers etc.
I pay a bill of ~2.5k a month to Airtel (for my mobile), and they classify me as a platinum subscriber. Any issue I raise, gets resolved in 2-4 hours. I have been paying 3.5k to ACT per month, for an atrocious service.
My internet at present is not working. I have asked airtel for a new connection. I don't think I will bother to speak to ACT anymore. They can do whatever they want.
I would highly recommend people to NOT go for ACT. The mental harassment is not worth it.
