i started out with pc quest. also bought a lot of pc world. even bought some issues of other magazines like dataquest (wtf!) and some names i do not remember.
no internet connection meant you bought any magazine that came with a software cd!
We had a dial up connection which was horribly slow and very expensive. My dad would almost never let me use it. I was so curious about the 'magic' of internet.
Also, I used to install every single software/game that came on the CD and uninstall them very next day. Things have changed so much.
heh yeah. i had a 1GB hard drive at that time. and today i am downloading a game (released back in 2004) which has a installer of 3GB in size. i never got myself a dial up connection. it was simply too expensive and i could not ask my dad to pay for it. my first internet connection was through a local guy. i think i had a 1GB download limit per month for around 1200-1300 rupees. not sure though. speeds? probably 128kbps?
Would you kindly give it a surf, Pleaseeeeeeeee? I've tried all possible routes, mailed editors, contacted the Digit team etc. Somehow managed to gather from 2011 onwards. But nothing between 2003-2011. At this point I'm crowd-collecting the data.
