ADSL problem

Hi friends. I have triband. My internet is working properly with excellent speed,but whenever I receive the phone on which triband is connected,my ADSL light goes off,and when I hang up it comes back. I have connected a splitter.Please help.I have lodged complaint at 198,but Ii is not getting rectified.What will be the issue???

This problem is because of a ‘cable fault’ :O
Is the splitter a new addition after which this problem has started?
If yes then that’s the problem
If no then
Faulty splitter or
It could be dirty cat 5 sockets, (in splitter & modem) use a tooth brush to clean them or
Any CAT 5 wire changed recently, because the crimped ends could be another cause to your problem.
The main tel line coming to your home could also be another cause, sometime even dirty contacts in the MTNL junction box in your bldg could be the cause, this can usually be cured by a MTNL linesman.

Make a complaint with 1500 that your phone is dead & when the linesman comes tell him of your problem (see last point in my post above). He should be able to sort it out.
