ADSL Problem

Was away for a week, and on return yesterday I find that ADSL is down - the ADSL LED on the modem is off. Connected to the ADSL modem, and found that the ADSL link is not connected, the the diagnostic tests fail. Anybody else in Navi Mumbai on MTNL ADSL facing this problem? Was wondering if the problem is specific to me or is there a general problem. Complained to MTNL, but don't expect a quick response from them. Gearing up for a long downtime.

restart the modem? the connection might have disconnected and couldnt reconnect. could happen sometimes. have you tried connecting again? when connections arent made, its obvious the test will fail.

Check if all the required wires are connected properly if still nothing then i guess you will have to call up 1504 or your local MTNL.

Tried all that before posting.Finally talked to the MTNL guy - and within hours it was up. Unfortunately there is no way of gettitng a feedback on what was wrong - obviously it was at the exchange.
