Hello all, old story, but still relevant...Aircel now present in 18 out of 23 circles.. meaning short of 5 circles to "qualify" for a PAN INDIA Operator TAG.Aircel circles yet to launch: 1.Haryana2.Punjab3.Rajasthan4.Madhyapradesh inc chattisgarh5.Gujrat Aircel Circles commercial network live:1. Delhi2. Andhra Pradesh3. Assam4. Bihar/Jharkhand5. Himachal Pradesh6. Jammu & Kashmir7. West Bengal8. Kolkata9. Karnataka10. Kerala11. Maharashtra & Goa12. Mumbai13. North East14. Orissa15. Tamil Nadu16. Chennai17. Uttar Pradesh (E)18. Uttar Pradesh (W)Demographics:East = 6 circles presence out of 6 circles.South = 5 circles presence out of 5 circles.West = 2 circles presnce out of 5 circles.North = 5 circles presence out of 7 circles.1. East: Aircel is present in the "not so elite" north east circles (7 indian states- 1 single telecom circle) unlike other new operators whose priority towards north east circle may be the last.That makes Aircels rollout presence in the east "complete" comprising of 1. North east circle, 2. West Bengal circle, 3. Kolkata Metro Circle, 4. Bihar incl Jharkhand Circle, 5. Orissa, 6. Assam.2. South: Aircel's south rollout presence is "complete" with operations in 5 southern circles: 1. Chennai Metro circle, 2. Tamilnadu circle, 3. Andhra Pradesh, 4. Kerala & 5. Karnataka.3. West: is one of the circles were Aircel has lot of catching work to do.. it is not present in 3 western india circles 1.Rajasthan, 2.Madhyapradesh inc chattisgarh, 3.Gujrat. For western india Aircel currently present in 4. Mumbai, 5. Maharashtra incl Goa.4. North: again Aircel currently not present in two circles: 1. Punjab, 2. Haryana, were as it is present in 3. Delhi Metro, 4. Himachal Pradesh5. Jammu & Kashmir, 6. UP East, 7. UP West.Conclusion: Aircel may be popular in its "hereditary home pitch" i.e some parts of southern circles, also may be slightly popular in Northeast circle but it needs to do a lot of catching work to do to popularise its demand in western & northern circles. Other competitors better stay away from Uninor, as just with their launch they have created an amazing record, I can just imagine what they will be one year down the line. Welcome Uninor and I am personally very pleased with you launch
