Airtel rolls out 3G services in the cyber city of Hyderabad

I have got a call from Airtel about the launch of 3G in Hyderabad. I was told that when i activate the 3G service, the 2G GPRS pack (98) will be deactivated.

The problem is that the coverage of 3G is limited in the city and my Galaxy S will switch to 2G network in the absence of 3G. Since the 2G pack would be deactivated, I would be charged from my balance for being connected on 2G. I keep the packet data always ON, so why should I suffer for Airtel's lack of 3G coverage? Anyone faced the same issue?

This is so crap!I tried to activate any 3g plan.. it gives an error saying you have more than 50 mb free usage left , 3g cannot be activatedthe thing is that i have 1 gb left in my dedicated acc 10 (2g internet balance)now the cc says use up ur 1 gb or wait for it to expire,... bullshit cc airtel Airtel..any solutions please!

Users stick to 2G data plans in 3G regime

I want to go wid 2G plan and use it with 3G devices where the speeds are more than 1mbps
